stand at a rock about Gucci Shoes show
Australians just don’t like to stand at a rockĀ Gucci Shoes show, it seems. It annoys me every time I go. If younger folks could AFFORD tickets, they’d go and rock out a bit more. Atmosphere is a MAJOR part of a Gucci Shoes show, I think. Sadly it seems to be lacking when I see them.
Edited to add this tidbit…. Clapton actually had his people make it very clear to security at the show that NOBODY was to be told to sit down by security staff. My friend was working at the show (I didn’t find out till later). When she told me, I thought, “Man, I should have been the one to get the floor standing and enjoying the show!” Ah well!
Maybe (big) concerts are different in Holland than in the US. No seats at the field. The big fans are right in front of the stage and it’s a party there. Singing, dancing, smoking, drinking and shouting. (depends on the Gucci Shoes perfomer ofcourse)
The only one I can think of is the loudmouth drunk sitting too close to the mike on the live Elvis Costello CD that came out in the Ryko box with the first three CDs. Not only loud but shrill as well!
I wonder how the 1967 album THE KINKS LIVE AT KELVIN HALL (aka THE LIVE KINKS) was recorded–2 track, 3 track, 4 track? I have the stereo version that has some very strange things going on, mix-wise, from out-of-phase guitars in places, to suddenly having a wash of screaming fans drift in and out of one of the channels, sounding like they were on a wild mono tape, flown in during a stereo remix of the original tapes of some kind.
