San Francisco jewelry designer John S. Brana is interviewed by Karri Ann Frerichs, PR Director of Altitude Promotions backstage at “Bella Bikini Fashion Show” by Charleston Pierce at Temple nightclub. John talks about his Sea Cliff Collection inspired by sea creatures found off the coast of Northern California and introduces the premiere of his Amazonite Jellyfish necklace made especially for this fashion show. The Sea Cliff collection is the perfect way to enjoy the treasures of the ocean everyday.

With the help of Margherita Missoni, the charity has gotten the support of the Missoni family, Damon Dash and Rachel Roy, and Rachel Zoe, all of whom are currently designing limited edition pieces that will be sold for a month each, with all proceeds going to benefit OrphanAid.OrphanAid Africa, a non-profit organization created to help orphans and other vulnerable children in Ghana, West Africa, has launched the first of a series of designer collaborations today.

Not deprived of humour, one shirt displayed a famous double ”C” logo (usually by another brand) with a motto printed below “CHAINED’. Indeed, this designer’s collection was truly chained to elegance, and in a new way, with Gori’s very own vision of sensuality, not deprived of a luxurious and reasonably innovative touch.
of course, you can count on fashion designers to give any inspiration a very personal twist Gori de Palmaand particularly on Catalan Designer Gori de Palma who resolutely declined Gothic on a very elegant note for the collection he has shown here yesterday. Beige or flesh tones were paired to black or shades of grey, and the Gothic touches were to be seen above all in the chain accessories, necklace, bracelets, or even cuffs attaching both hands in the back.

In the 1990s, John Green wasn’t just famous — he was notorious. A fixture on the party scene, he dreamed up half-skirts and bugle-beaded sweaters for men. His wildly theatrical fashion shows riffed on everything from Jean Genet to G.I. Joe, all with heavy nods to homoeroticism and hard-edged sexuality.

Mr. Green’s old digs, a one-bedroom apartment in Manhattan’s East 20s, reflected that bad boy persona. Mr. Green dubbed his decorating style Frank Lloyd Mame, a combination of the renowned architect and the campy bohemian who inspired two Broadway plays and two Hollywood movies. “Very over the top,” he noted.

These days, the 46-year-old buff, bespectacled gucci shoes designer believes less is more, both in his career as well as his home. His Fall 2009 show held in February showed masculine, refined looks, such as a wool pinstripe waistcoat with matching trousers. And the 2,700-square-foot, two-story West Village brownstone, into which Mr. Green moved last May, reflects a balancing between the gucci shoes designer’s recent exploration of spirituality, different cultures and simplicity with the impulses that fueled his career and personal life in his go-go period.

But while several Buddha statues discreetly dot the home, a 1960s-era Mazzega lighting fixture shaped like two fat chain links hangs from the living room ceiling. Lighting fixtures inspired by the Sputnik satellite and a giant Cubist-style mirror also show the gucci shoes designer hasn’t completely extinguished his wild side.

The townhouse consists of just four large rooms: Mr. Green and his partner John Esty, a picture framer, knocked down many walls, leaving a bedroom and living room on the second floor and the studio and the dining room on the first floor. Almost all of the walls are painted linen white, giving the place a vast, airy feel.

Designing professional user Louis vuitton handbags is not only a matter of a good graphic artist and some good ideas. Unfortunately, people creating user Louis vuitton handbags just go for a product, without even being aware of the basics or the theoretical principles behind it. Tight schedules, misconceptions (something like “usability is a plus that we cannot afford now”), and inadequate professionalism are responsible for the poor products that surround us. This gucci sneakers may seem a bit too abstract at first, but its main purpose is to popularize some topics too often limited to academia and few professionals. Here we won’t get into the details of some of the many approaches to UI design, because from my personal experience I discovered that people often get absorbed by the “things to do” for building effective user Louis vuitton handbags, rather than catching some simple concepts that will inspire them in the very process of UI design.

One of the earliest methods to help plants survive disease and insect infestation was to cross-breed plants that could survive these assaults with plants that could not in the hopes of passing on the ‘resistant’ gene (see Limits of Traditional Breeding). While studying a plant disease named crown gall, which is caused by a bacterium, scientists discovered that the disease spread in plants by transference of genetic material from the bacterium into the plant cells (see Taming the Crown Gall). This led to the development of techniques to cut and splice DNA and introduce genes into plants. However, isolating the genes responsible for a specific desired trait was another matter.

In contrast, by its definition, a UI should provide a high level, easy-to-use view of the services and data, hiding non-meaningful details such as the CPU’s internal registers or the low-level physical state of the hard disk surface. A critical factor for a successful UI design is in balancing automation and user control, showing meaningful details and hiding all the rest, and doing so adaptively, depending on the particular user. Even the same user, as s/he gets confident with the application may want to skip some automatic feature by taking full control of it. It is useful to assess the levels of control that could be exerted in a UI. This helps to make the layers of automation that could be provided (such as defining macros, providing Wizards for most common operations and so on) explicit into the design. Anyway, generally speaking, a computer program is an inherently limited artifact, in that it cannot take into account all the possible situations but only a limited, thought out in advance set of combinations.

Consequently, balancing human control over automation is a typical trade-off of UI design. On the one hand, providing fully automated UIs could be too risky, especially when the task is a critical one (like managing a chemical plant), because many independent variables may cause unforeseen behavior. On the other, allowing users to have too tight a control could be dangerous, too. They could modify some sensible data or use it in an unexpected way.
